Terms of Service

Welcome to Rank The Court. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Rank The Court, including our website, applications, leagues, matchmaking features, messaging features, rankings, and related services.

By creating an account or using Rank The Court, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

Rank The Court is currently intended only for users who are at least 18 years old.

By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. About Rank The Court

Rank The Court is a platform that helps recreational players find other players, participate in leagues and ladders, arrange matches, record results, communicate with other players, and find hitting or practice partners.

Rank The Court does not provide supervision, officiating, transportation, court facilities, coaching, medical services, or physical security for matches arranged through the platform.

3. Player Accounts

Users are responsible for providing accurate account information and maintaining the security of their accounts.

You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for deceptive purposes, manipulate rankings through multiple accounts, or allow another person to use your account to participate in ranked competition.

Rank The Court may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or interfere with the fair operation of the platform.

4. In-Person Play and Assumption of Risk

Tennis, pickleball, and other athletic activities involve inherent risks, including physical injury.

Meeting and playing with people first encountered online may also involve personal safety risks.

By arranging or participating in a match or activity through Rank The Court, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with participating in the activity and meeting other users.

Users are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate and for taking reasonable precautions when meeting other players.

Rank The Court encourages users to meet at appropriate public facilities and exercise reasonable judgment when interacting with other users.

5. Matches and Challenges

Players may post or accept challenges according to the rules of their applicable league.

Players are responsible for communicating with opponents and making reasonable efforts to play scheduled matches.

Players should accurately report match results.

Submitting intentionally false scores, coordinating fraudulent matches, manipulating standings, or otherwise attempting to unfairly influence rankings is prohibited.

6. Scores and Confirmation

Match results may require confirmation from another participant.

Rank The Court may automatically confirm submitted results after the confirmation period established by the platform.

Users may report legitimate score disputes.

Rank The Court administrators may review available information and correct, confirm, remove, or otherwise resolve disputed match results when reasonably necessary to maintain accurate standings.

Administrative decisions regarding platform standings and league records are final for purposes of Rank The Court competition.

7. Points, Rankings and Standings

Rank The Court calculates points, rankings, records, and standings using the scoring rules displayed within the platform.

Rankings are recreational platform rankings and are not official USTA, UTR, DUPR, or other third-party ratings unless expressly stated.

Rank The Court may correct technical errors affecting standings, scores, points, or rankings.

8. Seasons and Playoffs

League seasons operate according to the dates and rules displayed within Rank The Court.

Where a league includes a postseason tournament, qualifying players are determined using the applicable league standings and rules.

Players are responsible for completing playoff matches within required deadlines.

If a required playoff match is not completed by the applicable deadline, Rank The Court may advance a player according to the published playoff rules.

9. Find a Buddy

Find a Buddy allows users to identify potential hitting, doubles, or practice partners.

Buddy profiles and interactions are provided for recreational connection purposes.

Rank The Court does not conduct background checks on users unless expressly stated otherwise.

Users are responsible for deciding whether, when, and where to meet another user.

10. User Conduct

Users may not use Rank The Court to:

  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate another person;
  • Engage in discriminatory or abusive conduct;
  • Send spam or unwanted commercial solicitations;
  • Submit fraudulent scores or manipulate rankings;
  • Impersonate another person;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account;
  • Use the service for unlawful purposes;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the platform.

Rank The Court may restrict or remove users for conduct that creates safety concerns or substantially disrupts the community.

11. User Communications

Rank The Court may provide messaging features that allow users to communicate regarding matches and recreational activities.

Users are responsible for the content they send.

Users should not use messaging features to transmit unlawful, threatening, abusive, or inappropriate content.

12. Administrative Actions

To maintain the integrity and operation of the platform, authorized Rank The Court administrators may take reasonable administrative actions including:

  • Correcting match information;
  • Correcting scores;
  • Removing invalid matches;
  • Resolving disputes;
  • Adjusting records or standings when necessary to correct errors;
  • Suspending or removing users;
  • Addressing technical or data errors.

Administrative access should not be used to manipulate competition for improper purposes.

13. Fees and Future Paid Services

Rank The Court may offer free and paid services.

Any applicable price will be displayed before a user is charged.

Rank The Court may introduce or modify subscription, league, premium, or other fees in the future.

Additional payment or cancellation terms may be presented when paid services become available.

14. Third-Party Facilities

Rank The Court does not own or operate the public or private courts displayed within the platform unless expressly stated.

Court availability, reservations, rules, fees, closures, and conditions are controlled by their respective owners or operators.

Users are responsible for following facility rules.

15. Intellectual Property

The Rank The Court name, branding, platform design, software, and original platform content are owned by Rank The Court or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or commercially exploited without permission, except as allowed by law.

16. Service Availability

Rank The Court is an evolving service.

We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Features, league structures, geographic availability, and functionality may change as the platform develops.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rank The Court and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Rank The Court is not responsible for injuries, disputes, losses, misconduct, or other events arising from in-person activities or interactions between users, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

18. Account Suspension or Termination

Rank The Court may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, prevent abuse, maintain fair competition, or protect the platform.

Users may request deletion of their account by contacting Rank The Court.

19. Changes to These Terms

Rank The Court may update these Terms as the service develops.

When material changes require renewed consent, users may be required to accept an updated version before continuing to use relevant services.

The effective date and version number will be displayed on this page.
